We are excited to welcome our HBRA teammates back onto the water! We have been approved by Humboldt County to re-open as of June 2020. We want everyone to stay healthy and to keep our programs open and, therefore, have put into place robust safety procedures.

Please note that as of this date, our reopening plan applies only to single sculling and the Adorni Boathouse. The sweep rowing program has been suspended until further notice and entry to the big boathouse is restricted.

Practice remains at the same time – Monday to Friday, 4pm to 6.15pm. We are only sculling in singles at the moment and in small groups of maximum 10 rowers at a time. We are still meeting at the big boathouse but are rowing out of the Adorni. Everyone must wear a mask and sign our COVID-19 policy (available on the Policies page). No rowing experience is needed. We have beginner trainer boats as well as racing boats. You must be able to swim or tread water for 15 minutes.

We have virtual practice three times per week (Tuesday and Thursday 4.30pm – 5.30pm, Sunday 9am – 10am). Coach Julia is running sculling clinics for team members who want to row on the Bay.
